Course Description

The Caminhos Intensive Group Course is the most popular choice for students who join us at Caminhos. This course is a fun and interactive way to learn Portuguese in a relaxed group environment — in Ipanema!

You will participate in 20 hours of Portuguese language classes per week and can expect each day to be filled with a variety of reading, writing, listening and grammar activities, in which you will be stimulated and encouraged to practice your Portuguese. Our teachers focus on speaking (the communicative approach) which comprises of role-play, debates, analysing of film and video clip excerpts, and other interactive methods.

After your daily class you can also participate in interesting social activities with other Caminhos students, giving you the chance to put your Portuguese skills into practice.

WHEN CAN I START?

You can start Group Classes any Monday of the year.
If you are a complete beginner, you should start at the beginning of A1 or L (see Calendar) otherwise buy additional private classes

Great teachers, warm and welcoming atmosphere, a wide range of activities outside of class, good testing to place students at the appropriate level. Good for travelers and new arrivals to Rio. Only wish I had signed up sooner!
