Survival Course

brazilian portuguese in brazil

Course Description

If you’re only in Rio de Janeiro for a short time and need a quick crash course in Portuguese, then the Caminhos Survival Rio Course is the choice for you!

After just one day, students are able to carry out a series of basic tasks in Portuguese, such as greeting others, introducing themselves, asking for information or directions, ordering a taxi, ordering items in restaurants and shops, and navigating basic food items in the supermarket. This crash course focuses solely on communicating in basic Portuguese, with the means to facilitate your stay in the city.

Besides the 4 hours of class, you will also receive a “Caminhos Survival Kit” that includes a Lonely Planet guide of Rio de Janeiro pdf, “Caminhos’ Top 5s”, a map of Rio de Janeiro, and a Student Card; which allows discounted entry into various tourist sites in Rio de Janeiro and throughout Brazil.
