Different Ways to Say I Love You in Portuguese

If the love bug bit you and you fell in love with a Brazilian, sharing your feelings in their mother tongue is the right way to their heart. Therefore, you should learn a few different ways to say I Love You in Portuguese before confessing your feelings.
We will also teach you a few pick-up lines in Portuguese at the end of this post. After all, maybe you are not that serious yet, and just want to flirt with a Brazilian.
How to say I Love You in Portuguese?
Eu amo você.
Just plain I Love You in Portuguese.
Eu te amo.
This also means I Love You, but using the object pronoun. This is actually the most common way to say I Love You in Portuguese, even more than Eu amo você.
Eu gosto de você.
If you want to confess your feelings but Love is still too strong of a word for you, you might use Adoro, which means Like.
Eu te adoro.
This is another way of saying I Like You in Portuguese, but using the object pronoun.
Sou louco por você.
Use this sentence if you want to say you love them so much that it makes you crazy.
Você é tudo pra mim.
Be romantic and use this sentence to say your Brazilian boyfriend/girlfriend means everything to you.
Estou apaixonado por você.
Maybe you do not want to use the words I Love You yet, but you are getting there. How about saying you are in love with them instead?
Não sei viver sem você.
If you are feeling romantic, you may want to say you can not live without them anymore.
Você é meu chamego.
This is something used in the Northeast region of Brazil. Chamego is a romantic word for affection.
Estou a fim de você.
Maybe you are not in love at all, but you want to express your feelings regardless. Use this sentence if you want to let the other person know you are into them.

Pick-up Lines in Portuguese
If you are not ready to say I Love You yet, how about saying some funny pick-up lines to make your crush laugh? At least they will see you are trying to speak Portuguese just to impress them.
- Você vem sempre aqui? (Do you come here often?)
- Doeu quando você caiu do céu? Porque você é um anjo. (Did it hurt when you fell from the sky? Because you are an angel.)
- Seu pai é padeiro? Porque você é um sonho. (Is your dad a backer? Because you are a ‘sonho’.) (Sonho is a Brazilian cream doughnut, but it also means ‘dream’ in Portuguese.)
- Tem alguma coisa errada com o meu celular. Não consigo encontrar o seu número nele. (There is something wrong with my phone. I can not find your number on it.)
- Você tem um mapa? Porque eu me perdi no brilho dos teus olhos. (Do you have a map? Because I got lost in your eyes.)
- Você acredita em amor à primeira vista ou devo passar por aqui mais uma vez? (Do you believe in love at first sight or should I stop by again?)
- Além de me deixar sem ar, o que mais você faz? (What else do you do besides taking my breath away?)
Now, if you are seriously trying to meet new people and make them like you, these pick-up lines will not get you anywhere. Thus, you need to learn how to flirt in Portuguese before meeting the right one who will make you say I Love You.
